Dagashi is a Japanese term for inexpensive snacks and candies, derived from the Japanese words da ("futile" or "negligible") and kashi (snacks). Dagashi are enjoyed for their flavours and brightly coloured graphic packaging, which feature cute designs and recognisable characters.
mt's reusable, versatile tape tears off easily, sticks immediately and peels off without leaving a trace. Easy to write on. Waterproof and heatproof. Can be used on most surfaces and will peel off without damage.
mt Masking Tape is the original Japanese washi tape. The original idea started in 2006 when three designers from Tokyo were experimenting with protective industrial masking tape for decorative use on books and paper. They discovered new and different ways of using the material, and created theĀ Masking Tape Guide Book which they then presented to industrial tape manufacturer Kamoi Kakoshi Co., sharing their ideas about how masking tape could also be used as a decorative item. The company were so impressed with these new and innovative ideas they agreed to their request to make "masking tapes of different colours", and in 2007 produced twenty different colourful rolls like a beautiful set of colouring pencils, launching these as the very first mt collection. Based in the historic town of Kurashiki, mt Masking Tape is at the heart of ancient tradition and culture as well as state of the art technology. The company continues to innovate producing new colours each year and working with influential designers to create new and exciting patterns and designs.
