This farm to cup Matcha Supreme is sourced from the mountainous Kirishima region of Kagoshima. It is packed with healthy levels of amino acids (L-theanine), antioxidants (EGCG), vitamins, and minerals, and comes in a beautiful vibrant green colour that extends to its taste.
Kirishima sits at the foot of the Kirishima mountain range, an active volcanic area in southern Japan. As the name suggests (literally "misty island"), natural mists in this region filter sunlight and create gentle shading, slowing leaf growth and enhancing sweetness and amino acid content (L-theanine). With many passionate small family-run farms, the region is known for its premium green teas that have deep emerald green color, rich umami, and balanced sweetness.
Rich in umami and natural smooth sweetness with fine, creamy texture; suitable for drinking pure as koicha or usucha, or matcha latte.

Matcha Shot: Sift 1 tsp (2-2.5g) of matcha powder into a bowl. Pour 30-40 ml of warm water at 70ºC (158°F). Whisk in fast zip-zag motion for around 30 seconds until frothy and clump-free.
Usucha: To drink it pure as usucha, add 30-40ml more water to the matcha shot. Enjoy hot or over ice.
Matcha Latte: Add 200-300ml of your favourite milk to the matcha shot. Enjoy hot or over ice.
